Meet Nina Wollman

Nina Wollman is the Vice President and Global Director for Health at Jacobs. In this role, Nina is responsible for elevating Jacobs’ capabilities in the Health market which covers healthcare, research, pharmaceuticals, medical device and public health.

This includes creating and implementing Jacobs’ Health market strategy, delivering a cohesive go-to-market approach, driving innovation and new solutions, recruiting and developing talent, and ultimately growing Jacobs presence in the market.

Jacobs has a long-standing presence in the Health market and is currently ranked No. 1 by Engineering News-Record in both healthcare facilities design and pharmaceuticals.

Under her leadership, Nina is tasked with harnessing the collective skills, knowledge and experience of our Health professionals to create and sustain well-functioning and thriving health systems.

“In my experience the biggest obstacle in my own way is self-doubt. Can I…Should I…What would happen if I do or don’t. Yet my greatest opportunities come when I am thinking not about myself, but others. Seek daily opportunities to give gratitude, positive encouragement to do, and connect to lift others along your journey.”

Nina Wollman

Vice President, Global Director for Health, Jacobs

As an environmental scientist, Nina began her career studying the impacts of confined animal feeding operations in Oklahoma and the use of wetlands for remediation. In 1999, she joined the Jacobs family and her focus shifted from the natural environment to the built environment as an asset management consultant evaluating client asset portfolios for lifecycle impacts and developing sustainable capital implementation plans.

With Jacobs, she progressed from a consultant to a project manager to a program manager to a group leader to her prior role as Vice President and Global Director for Strategic Consulting.

In this previous role, she worked closely with several Health clients including MD Anderson Cancer Center to develop a comprehensive facility recapitalization program. As part of this program she led a research program titled“Capital Renewal Trends at Top Healthcare Institutions,” that was presented to the American Society of Healthcare Engineers Planning Design and Construction event in March 2017.

The program surveyed top medical research institutions to gain benchmark information regarding how they identify, approach and prioritize capital facility renewal. The report provided a snapshot of current capital renewal trends at these institutions spanning a wide range of sizes, regions and ages.

Nina brings “an art of the possible mindset” to the Health market and is passionate about our ability to engage with clients and communities in a whole new manner creating solutions that enable well-functioning and thriving health systems advancing health, wellbeing and quality of life.
